This chocolate peanut butter pie goes together really fast if you are in a hurry (just use pre-packaged pie crust, etc), but is still super easy to make from scratch.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie
1 Flakey Pie Crust Recipe
1 package instant vanilla pudding
1/2 c milk
1 1/4 c heavy cream
2/3 c creamy peanut butter
1 c chocolate chips
1 carton Cool Whip
6 Reese’s peanut butter cups
1/4 c roasted peanuts
Make the Flakey Pie Curst Recipe and blind bake until done. Remove from the oven and cool completely.
Heat 1/4 c heavy cream until steaming but not boiling and pour over the 1 c of chocolate chips. Allow to sit for a few minutes then whisk until smooth (you may need to heat for 20 seconds in the microwave to get all the chips melted – DO NOT OVER HEAT).
When the chocolate is completely smooth, pour into the pie shell and carefully smear up the side of the pie crust.
In a mixing bowl, add the vanilla pudding, milk, heavy cream, and peanut butter. Mix until smooth and place into the pie shell.
Top with home-made whipped cream or Cool Whip.
Garnish with roughly chopped peanut butter cups and roasted peanuts. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving.
