Grilled Greek Shrimp

More grillin’ ideas!  Shrimp on the grill is a natural but sometimes you need to step it up so you don’t get bored with  regular shrimp.  This recipe is great with shrimp and with chicken.

Grilled Greek Shrimp

Grilled Greek Shrimp

2 lbs. shrimp, cleaned, peeled, and deveined

juice of two lemons

4 cloves garlic, finely minced

olive oil

salt and pepper to taste

Place the shrimp in a large bowl and lightly drizzle with olive oil.  Add the lemon juice, salt and pepper and allow to marinate for 5 minutes (do not allow the shrimp to sit in the lemon juice for longer than 10 minutes or it will “cook” from the acid in the juice and become grainy in texture).

Place the shrimp on a very hot grill.  Grill on each side for 5 minutes or until done (the length of time will vary depending on the size of the shrimp).  Remove and serve immediately.
