Valentine’s Day Candy is Extra Special When You Make It Yourself. Try Salted Chocolate Nut Clusters

Chocolate for melting

mixed nuts

salt – try a specialty salt like Fleur de Sel, Himalayan Pink, Grey Sea, etc.

Melt the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl.  Take your time with this because chocolate burns very easily.  Start the microwave at 1 minute and then continue in 30 second intervals, stirring between times until the chocolate is smooth.

Add enough of the mixed nuts that there isn’t much chocolate pooling in the bottom of the bowl.   Stir to coat the nuts.  Spoon out onto parchment paper and sprinkle with a little salt.  If the chocolate nut mixture sets up in the bowl, just melt in the microwave for about 15 – 20 second and continue spooning out onto the parchment paper.  Let the candy set up and harden.  Enjoy!
