Janome Digitizer MBX Software
I’ve had many Janome sewing machines and love the brand. I think they are the best because of the versatility they offer (sewing, quilting, embroidery, etc.) as well as the fact that they very rarely break down and need repairs. Just periodic servicing is all I have ever had to do. My current machine is a Memory Craft 10000 which I have had about 12 years now. Recently, Janome introduced a new top of the line machine, the 12000. Now, I have not purchased this machine because I think my 10000 still has a lot of life left in it and the cost of a 12000 is $12,000 so any life left in my old one is a lot of life in my book because there are a lot of things I could do with $12,000 – buy a car, hardwood flooring, pay a semester of college tuition, etc. – you get the point but I did purchase the update to the Digitizer software. I have just finished the initial 2 hr. overview and WOW! there are a lot of features to this powerhouse. Janome has coupled with Corel for this software which greatly extends and enhances the software. There is so much you can do with this – everything from infinite fonts to digitizing your own designs and since my daughter is an art major I can see a lot of opportunities do just that. I can’t wait to get into the meat of it and see what trouble I can get into. I have used embroidery on many quilt tops I have made and always embroidery the label that I put on the back of a quilt so I’m thinking I have a lot of playtime ahead.
