$9.00 Carmenere, Lontue Valley, Galan Vineyards, Chilian Red Wine Very full bodied.  This wine has a lot of character.  Beautiful deep ruby color with a lot of berry and plum flavors plus medium tannins.  Also has a prominent peppery spiciness and I picked up a hint of truffles as well.  I would serve this wine with rich, spicy foods like a beefy ragu… (more…)

2006 Starry Night Old Vine Zinfandel

$17.99 Starry Night, Tom Feeney Ranch, Russian River Valley This wine is rich with cherry and chocolate flavors as well as spicy pepper notes.  The wine has medium tannins and is ruby red in color with a garnet edge.  Good to drink now but I also think it would age well for two to three more years.  Would go well with… (more…)
